Job Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the Day operations of the Goods In/Dispatch Area and managing a small team of Warehouse Operatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervising and organising the Warehouse team across all shifts.

  • Ensuring the Goods In team is always resourced by managing available staff versus workload at site and moving them between sites if required.

  • Overseeing the receiving and dispatching of goods, whilst ensuring the products are stored and moved correctly and safely.

  • Maintain full warehouse utilisation by planning racking space and floor space, seeking advice from the Supply Chain Manager.

  • To always adhere to good health and safety practices. Including but not limited to, ensuring no staff members or drivers are entering or exiting through the loading bay.

  • To ensure all incoming Raw materials are booked into the ERP system with correct Batch and Use by dates.

  • Track the Production Schedule as per the Plan and being proactive in preparing for any changes.

  • Ensure Picks are done in time and checked, to ensure no line stoppages.

  • To manage stock returns after each job, across both Day and Night shift, and ensure the system is updated accurately and in real time, as to not delay the closing of RPOs.

  • Participate in the verifying of Consumption v Bom’s, and to report any High wastage and Stock Anomalies to Supply Chain Manager. And ensure the issues are resolved in a timely manner, to not delay the closure of the RPO, as this is linked to company financials.

  • Carrying out weekly and monthly stocktakes of Raw materials and Packaging.

  • To carry out any other reasonable duties, responsibilities or requests that may be issued by management from time to time.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Previous experience within a Warehouse Supervisory role ideally in a food manufacturing environment.

  • Counterbalance, Reach & Forklift Truck licenses with substantial current and previous experience is essential.

  • Knowledge of working in a warehouse environment.

  • Knowledge and understanding of IT stock control systems and the importance of accurate record keeping.

  • Good communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to communicate with people at all levels within the organisation.

  • Good team working skills.

  • The ability to delegate tasks.

  • Good problem-solving skills.

  • Can work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Working with the ERP system and highlighting any issues or limitations that affect tasks not being carried out.

  • Ensuring all warehouse operatives are trained up on the same, by creating and demonstrating a training matrix.

  • Ensuring availability for the team at the weekends and Bank Holidays, whether on shift or not.

  • The ability to supervise, delegate and motivate the team.

Shift Pattern:

  • Tuesday to Saturday, 7am to 3.30pm (1 hour lunch)
